AOL 9.0 and Windows Vista Beta 2

I installed Vista last night, but now I can't use AOL (I know... I still use AOL with my broadband because I have the email address). For some reason, even after reinstalling, the AOL program brings me to the welcome screen and then disconnects and tries to start up again, getting caught in a loop. Any suggestions?

Have you tried running it in Compatibility mode? Right click the executable, click Properties > Compatibility and choose an appropriate version of Windows, XP SP2 or 2000. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

I really do enjoy wasting money... very observant. Anything better to do with your life than criticize others? You're really a winner!

Did you do a dual boot or put it on a second computer? It may not be compatible with Vista, atm. Although, you'd think AOL would be one of the first to jump on it to hit the most customers!
AOL does install it's own network drivers as part of the install. Perhaps those are not fully Vista compatible yet.

I can recommend keyword Beta. Maybe they have beta software in the works to work with Vista.

I take that back...when i first install aol it worked perfectly...Until next time i used my computer aol wouldn't word correctly. My problem is when the program lauch and i enter my un and ps it sign on into aol but then it just shut downs.

Same me and I wrote them and they said they don't have a build of AOL for Vista. They said they aren't planning on doing one till Vista gets further down the road. They claim the code may change at this point and then they will have to rework AOL.

Have you tried using AOL suite? I remember when I ran my upgrade advisor,it said there wasn't a Vista driver for WAN Miniport,a part of the AOL software.
